新加坡华族生育率过低 20年后人口将减半 [CN]

by 林妙娜2012-02-04|http://www.zaobao.com.sg/sp/sp120204_006_1.shtml 新加坡华族人口去年的生育率只有1.08,远低于2.1的人口替代生育率,若不引进新移民弥补不足,再过20年的时间,下一代新加坡华族人口将减半。人口萎缩最终将造成经济发展停滞不前,这将是新加坡无法承受的后果。 建国总理李光耀昨晚在丹戎巴葛集选区和拉丁马士单选区的新春团拜联欢宴会上讲话时指出,如何促进人口增长是新加坡面对的最大挑战。 在人们眼中生儿育女是私事,但对社会整体而言却是关乎“国家兴衰的大事”。 李光耀说:“新加坡生育率逐年下降已经成为一种趋势,我们只有靠引进新移民,才能弥补人口的不足,维持人口的水平。” 他在女皇镇小学举行的联欢宴会上以华语和英语演讲时也指出,只要外在因素不进一步恶化,新加坡经济不会因欧债危机或疲弱的美国经济等因素陷入萎缩。然而,人口一旦萎缩,经济就会像同样面对人口老龄化的日本一样,失去活力。 他说,日本不欢迎外来移民,坚持做个单一种族的社会,以致消费能力强的年轻人递减,付出经济失去活力的代价。日本之所以能够承受长时期的低迷增长,是因为拥有非常雄厚的储备支撑。 “新加坡不能做这样的选择,因为我们承担不起人口老化、经济不振所带来的后果。” 去年,共有3万6161个新生宝宝,稍微扭转了一再下滑的生育率,而1959年,李光耀出任总理时,新加坡人口只是今天的一半,但却生育了6万2000多个新生儿。 李光耀也对结婚率下跌,影响生育率表示关注,他希望在华人相信是生育好年头的龙年,出现更多龙宝宝。 他在结束约七分钟的演讲前总结说:“不管怎样,除非新加坡人多生育,不然我们就必须接受新移民。” 因身体不适,李光耀同居民一起捞鱼生后就先行告辞,前后逗留约半小时。 据贸工部预测,新加坡今年的经济增长将放缓,介于1至3%之间。李光耀认为,欧洲严峻的形式和疲弱的美国经济至今未对新加坡造成直接的冲击,新加坡人的实质工资中位数在过去一年增加了1%。但是,放眼今年,受全球经济放缓以及出口量下跌的影响,今年的经济增长将无法再创高峰,人们的工资增长也将受到影响。 昨晚约有1700名丹戎巴葛集选区和拉丁马士单选区的基层领袖和居民参加联欢宴会,并观赏文娱表演,现场气氛热烈欢娱。 出席晚宴的丹戎巴葛集选区议员有社会发展、青年及体育部代部长兼新闻、通讯及艺术部政务部长陈振声、谢世儒医生、英兰妮和梁莉莉医生。拉丁马士单选区议员、外交部兼社青体部高级政务次长陈振泉,以及丹戎巴葛集选区议员前议员、中峇鲁区基层组织第二顾问顾蔡矶副教授也参与盛会。
