Fix WP7 Zune “Connection Error, We can’t create a connection from your phone”

When you try to connect Windows Phone 7 to your computer by using the Zune software, you receive this error message on your computer:CONNECTION ERROR
We can’t create a connection from your phone to the Internet. You can still sync content between your computer and your phone.

Solution:

Closed Zune software and disconnected phone

Changed the “Zune Network Sharing Service” to run under Local System account

Change the “Zune Windows Mobile Connectivity Service” to run under Local System account.(this one wouldn’t start at all with some obscure error)

Started both services

Hard reset on the phone

Connected Phone after it started up

how can I do this Changed the “Zune Network Sharing Service” to run under Local System account

Change the “Zune Windows Mobile Connectivity Service” to run under Local System

  2. lisparc says:

If you’re running Windows XP:Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type services.msc, and then press Enter. Locate ‘Zune Network Sharing Service’, and right-click, then you can make the change. Do the same to the ‘Zune Windows Mobile Connectivity Service’.

If you’re running Windows 7 or Windows Vista: Click Start, type ‘services.msc’ in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. The rest are same to above.

Yash, I tried it myself and it worked. Don’t forget to set the ‘Services’ to ‘Auto run’ and restart both your PC and your phone.
